Which cable is better?
i have direct tv right now and my dad wants to switch to att uverse but i wanna see if its good as direct tv. does it have the same channels as direct tv? can u record shows and movies? does it come with on demand? (btw what is on demand, my friend told me it comes with it) which one is better, direct tv or att uverse? any pros and cons???

Yes to all of your questions. Same channels, if not more. You can record anything on the channel guide. On Demand is included. (You can select specific movies or programs to watch at any time. Some are free; many have extra charges of around $5 per viewing.) Local channels are included at no extra cost.
In my experience plus that of some friends, it’s an excellent value, equal to or better than DirecTv in just about any regard.
Your dad might also be thinking of the additional U-Verse features, like Internet and digital phone. Also recommended.

I don’t know about that, I’d recommend checking your listings. Usually it says “Free Preview” on the channel guide.

Just FYI Universal finally got its act together and both Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman are supposed to coming out? on DVD this fall. The initial said the TV movies, including this one, were of the deal so should also show up before long. In the UK the first of the reunion movies was just released to DVD, too.

hey, im happy, i know you got internet troubles its cool man, is there a different service for internet that you could get instead? surprised you didnt look for the cable for the “direct at best buy yeah they are expensive but at least they have what you need, what kind of cable was it out of curiousity?
