Mandy asks…
How to replace the front calipers on a 2006 GMC 2500HD?
The calipers are frozen and the pads and rotors are worn. I’ve done calipers, pads, and rotors before but never one of these. I’ve heard something about ‘auto-bleeding’ the calipers but I’m not sure how to do it. I assume that you can’t bleed these like normal brakes and that GM has some wonderful complicated technique on how to do this.

I can’t imagine needing calipers on such a new truck. Most times I’ve found that where the pads seat into the caliper brackets, the pads rust to them and keeps the pads against the rotor and wears them down fast. If you do actually need calipers replaced, you don’t need to do anything special as long as you don’t get air in the system like running the master cylinder dry.
