Mark asks…

Motorcycle licence…??

Right now i am 15 going to be 16 and i was wondering can i get my Motorcycle licence at the age of sixteen?? I live in the state of California..

answers:

Under California DMV guidelines, anyone who drives a motorcycle must have a Class M motorcycle license or motorcycle instruction permit.

Applicants must be 16 years of age (have had your permit for six months), complete application form DL 44, give a thumbprint, have your picture taken, pay the $26 application fee, pass the motorcycle knowledge test, and a vision screening. The final step is to pass the motorcycle skills test where you will demonstrate your competency in motorcycle operation.

Daily Finds – Motorcycle Licence in Va?

Daily Finds Motorcycle Licence In Va? yahoo answers motorcycle license drivers license

Donald asks…

What are the consequences of riding a motorcycle without a motorcycle license in VA?

And can you please explain the rules of how to obtain a motorcycle license in Virginia for people under 19 years old. Please don’t pull it off dmv.org or tell me to go their. Give me your words. Thank you!

answers:

Penalties for riding without a license are severe. You could lose your drivers license for a year, if you have one, or be ineligable for both if you have neither. The 19 age is not important unless you have never had a license anywhere. If you have a license (car) you can get an “endorsement” on it, an ‘M’ by taking a written test and a road test. Get a learners permit… Ride for three months then go take your road test. If you have an extra 250 dollars I reccommend the Riders Edge school (call a Harley dealer to find one) … You’ll get your license at the end of it if you pass.

Daily Finds – Motorcycle Licence Class?

Daily Finds Motorcycle Licence Class? yahoo answers u turn radio receiver msf class motorcycle license motorcycle licence licence class harley riders edge class car road test car license

Mary asks…

In Wisconsin, do i need to take motorcycle license class after i turn 18 to ride a motorcycle?

also how cheap can i get a good beginners 600cc sports bike for, and what makes or models are suitable.
And if you owned bike, what age did u first get one?

answers:

You don’t have to take a class, you can get the permit at the DMV by taking the written, then issued a permit. For the endorsement you have 2 choices. With the permit you can then take the MSF class (there might be other classes that can get you the endorsement, like the Harley Riders Edge class), and there is a riding test you must pass at the end and you have the endorsement.
OR
If you don’t want a class, you can also take the “MIT” (Motorcycle In Traffic) test at the DMV. You wear this radio receiver on your back (in a vest they provide) with a speaker that fits over your ear inside the helmet. The DMV examiner follows you in a car and runs a test very similar to a car road test (next street turn left, pull over, do a U Turn, etc etc). So you pass the roadtest and you get an endoresement, so very much like getting a car license.
